Jesus and Bären Jäger

I dedicate this post to Alex, I have found the infamous Bären Jäger that your Opa is so fond of and I have another bottle here with your name on it. Please if anyone can give me aexplanationon as to what the hell is going on in this label I would appreciate it.

Close up.

Also, I welcome my new roommate Jesus from Spain to our apartment. We have a cleaning system here where everyone has a section of the counter for dirty dishes, Alex my roommate decided that it would be a good idea to use a visual aid to indicate his part of the table. Click on the picture for a better view.

On a side note classes finally begin next week and I'm off tAmsterdammn for the weekend with the boys from Georgian College.

I know Alex has a built in mic so I'm guessing you do too.

As for the label. Here's my explanation: You see, clearly Bären Jäger is made from bears. As we all know from our lengthy experience in hand-fighting bears it does not usually end up well.

This is why the brave men from Bären Jäger must hunt the bears using their keen sense of trickery. This combined with their red tights, fancy dancing shoes, and Robinhood-inspired hat provide the perfect camoflauge for luring a bear towards a honey-filled behive thats as big as half a bear.

These brave men also know that it is the natural instincts of the German Bear to only eat honey with one foot resting on a log near-by. This allows them to place this log (hence making the beehive even more attractive to the bear) and tie a rope around it to pull from under the bear's foot at the last minute.

But when's the right time to pull? Ah-ha! They key is in the German Bear's unusually long tongue. As soon as they stick out that tongue it is time to heave on log, knock the bear on its back, and proceed to beat it relentlessly with the oddly huge beehive. This is where you get the honey taste from in the Bären Jäger.

You're welcome.
